• Library Loot Fundraiser
The current leaders in each grade are 6-4, 7-5 and 8-4. 6-4 has a substantial lead, 7-5 is being chased by 7-4 and 8-4 is in a battle with 8-2 and 8-3. Who will win???  We have now raised over $500 for new books. Thank you everyone!!

• Rugby practice will be Tuesday in the gym at lunch.

• Debate club meeting in Ms. Sarty’s room (104) today at 12:10…bring your lunch and something to write with and on. Newcomers are welcome.

• Tryouts for the girls’ flag football team will be NEXT MONDAY at lunch in the gym.

• The Aquarium Club will take place this Friday after school with Mr. Martin.

• Badminton tryouts this week: Weds and Thursday, 3:10-4:30pm.

Congratulations to Thomas Berringer (7-3) who received a half mathalon last week and a special congratulations to Nic MacDonald (7-3) who received a full mathalon yesterday!! Great work! Keep working hard on those extra math questions to hear your name on the announcements!

• Pi Day Challenge:
In 2019, Emma Haruko Iwao, an employee of Google had found nearly 9 trillion new digits of pi, setting a new record. That means humans, with the help of computers, have now calculated the never-ending number to about 31.4 trillion (get it?) or 31trillion 415billion 926 million 535 thousand and 897— decimal places and there is still no pattern or repetition. Our grades 7&8 competition will happen March 7. Each class will have one winner and that person.
will receive 2 free Pizza Day lunches! The person who memorizes the most places after the decimal will win 4 Pizza Day lunches! You only need to know one more digit than someone in your class! The LT record is 564 set in 2022 by Izaac Hopper.

• Girls’ basketball team need to pass in their jerseys to Mr. Hulshof.

• LT hockey intramurals, Tuesday March 5.

• Grade 6 curling trip March 6. Permission forms were passed out. If you didn’t get a form, please get one from the office. First 48 students will be accepted. Cost is $8. All students must have a certified hockey helmet. Ski or bike helmets are not allowed. All completed forms should be passed into the office immediately.

• Pizza will be ordered today and sold and delivered on Thursday.
