• Student of the Month:
Nominees can be chosen on several criteria: academics (a student who is working to their potential), attitude, athletics, overall school spirit, or someone who improves the quality of life here at Leslie Thomas. Students of the Month exemplify respect for self, others, learning and environment. They work hard to make LT a safe and positive learning environment and they are ambassadors for the school when they participate in field trips, clubs, teams, etc.

• The Aquarium Club will take place this Friday after school with Mr. Martin

• A reminder that there is a grade 8 band leadership team meeting today at lunch.

• Rugby practice will be Tuesday in the gym at lunch.

• Are you hungry for some Pi?
Do you like Pizza? Do you like Pi? The official Pi-day is the 14th of March (for the 3rd month and 14th day) during March Break. Next week, on March 7th, the grade 7&8 math teachers will have a competition to see who can remember the most digits of Pi. Each grade 7&8 homeroom will have one winner and that person will receive 2 free Pizza Day lunches! That means for two Thursdays, you will receive one slice of pizza and a juice box for FREE! The person who memorizes the most places after the decimal will win 4 Pizza Day lunches! Are you up for the challenge?

• Magic the gathering club will take place TOMORROW at 12:10 in room 107 (Mrs Chisholm’s) only come if you signed up.

• Tryouts for the girls’ flag football team will be NEXT MONDAY at lunch in the gym.

• Pickleball intramurals today. Grade 6 and 7 tournament.

• Badminton tryouts next week: Weds and Thursday, 3:10-4:30pm.

• Girls’ basketball team need to pass in their jerseys to Mr. Hulshof.

• LT hockey intramurals, 4pm tomorrow at the Sackville arena Feb 27

• Grade 6 curling trip March 6. Permission forms were passed out yesterday. If you didn’t get a form, please get one from the office. First 48 students will be accepted. Cost is $8. All students must have a certified hockey helmet. Ski or bike helmets are not allowed. All completed forms should be passed into the office immediately.
