• Student of the Month:
Nominees can be chosen on several criteria: academics (a student who is working to their potential), attitude, athletics, overall school spirit, or someone who improves the quality of life here at Leslie Thomas. Students of the Month exemplify respect for self, others, learning and environment. They work hard to make LT a safe and positive learning environment and they are ambassadors for the school when they participate in field trips, clubs, teams, etc.

• LT hockey resumes Tuesday Jan 23.

• Cribbage club today at noon in room 303. Hopefully, you do not start 2024 off with getting skunked!

• CONGRATULATIONS to the following classes for bringing in the most food for the Food Drive: 6-1 / 7-4/7-5 Combined / and 8-3.  A special treat will be delivered today.  Beacon House was thrilled with all the food we were able to collect - thank you everyone!  Thank you to the Kindness Crew for their help with this project.

• Girls’ basketball team will have their first game Weds, Jan 10 at MSMS. All Players must be there at 3:10pm for a 3:30pm start.

• Girls’ basketball practice today from 3:10pm to 4:30pm. The final team list has been posted outside the PE office.

• LT Wrestling practice Monday from 3:10-4:30pm in the gymnasium. New students can come out and try wrestling. Give it a shot. And that’s the bottom line cause coach Mike Lidstone said so.

• Boys’ basketball team will play their first game Tuesday, January 9 at home vs AJ. Game time is 3:30pm.

• There will be an Emera Oval Skating trip taking place Wednesday, January 31, from 9:15 am to 11:45am. Students will skate from 10am to 11am. Students who do not have skates or helmets can get rentals at the Emera Oval. Permission forms will be passed out next week. Cost to attend the Oval is $5.
