✊🏾 Black Excellence Day
Today at LTJH we are recognizing and celebrating Black Excellence Day. This is a chance to honour the achievements, contributions, culture, leadership, and history of Black individuals in our communities and around the world. Thank you to everyone wearing black today in support and recognition. Let’s make today a meaningful one built on respect, learning, and celebration.

πŸ“š Student Support Update
Please note there is no Resource and no ANS today.

β˜€οΈ Activity Day
Good news. Activity Day is officially a go. The weather forecast has decided to cooperate with us, so all systems are go for a great day outside. Students will report to Period 4 for attendance. Let’s make it a fun one.

πŸ”« Reminder to Students
We have recently had several water guns and water goggles brought to school. Items that resemble weapons are not allowed at LT. Please leave them at home. Any item of this nature will be taken by staff, and a parent or guardian will need to pick it up from the school.

πŸ—‘οΈ Litter Reminder
Dropping garbage on the ground is lazy and disrespectful. Please use the garbage cans.

🌈 GSA / Headstrong Update
GSA next Tuesday has been moved to Friday. There will be a Headstrong meeting in the Library at lunch on Tuesday instead.

πŸ† Grade 8 Citizenship Award
Do you volunteer your time at Leslie Thomas by helping with GSA, Grade 6 Orientation, Breakfast Club, announcements, fundraisers, Pink Day, leadership activities, and more? Are you also involved in the community through babysitting, helping the homeless, supporting the food bank, or other volunteer work? Leslie Thomas wants to recognize outstanding citizenship at our year end awards ceremony. Grade 8 students are invited to apply for the Grade 8 Citizenship Award. Applications are available from Mr. or Mme Mac and must be returned by Friday, May 22.

πŸƒ Track and Field
Leslie Thomas, our Track and Field team made us proud over the last two days at the meet. There were over 1400 athletes competing, and in some events our athletes were up against more than 80 competitors. Only the top 8 in each event qualify for Regionals next week, so even a top 15 finish is an incredible accomplishment.
