Leslie Thomas Junior High is currently looking to fill 2 to 3 paid Lunch Monitor positions. We welcome interest from our school families as well as extended friends, relatives, and community members who enjoy working with youth and being part of a positive school environment.
This role is a wonderful way to stay connected to the community, support students in a meaningful way, and enjoy a short, consistent weekday schedule that fits easily into many routines.
About the role
Lunch Monitors provide supervision and support to students during lunchtime under the direction of the school principal. Duties may include supervising students in classrooms, the cafeteria, playground, hallways, and other school spaces, assisting with indoor and outdoor activities, supporting safe and respectful student behaviour, and helping maintain a safe and welcoming lunch environment. Lunch Monitors work as part of the school team and report directly to the Principal or designate.
Requirements
• Current Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Search
Assets
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
Pay and hours
• $15.45 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
• Monday to Friday from 12:10 pm to 1:10 pm
