Lockdown Drill
A lockdown drill is used when circumstances make it safer to remain in the classroom or school rather than evacuate. Our second lockdown drill of the year has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 18 at approximately 10:30 am.
During a lockdown drill:
• Classroom doors are secured and students remain inside the room until instructed by the teacher to resume activities.
• All exterior doors are locked.
• No one is permitted to enter or leave the building.
School Dance
We will be holding a school dance on Thursday, February 19 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for LT students. Doors open at 6:30 pm. A DJ with a light and sound system will be hosting the event.
We encourage families to take advantage of the advance purchase option and limit pay at the door. SchoolCash Online closes February 19 at noon.
Dance Expectations
• This is a school function and all school rules apply.
• Students must attend school on the day of the dance in order to participate.
• A canteen with snacks and drinks will be open for cash purchases. All food and drink must be consumed in the cafeteria.
• All outerwear, backpacks, and cell phones will be checked at the beginning of the dance and stored securely.
• Once a student arrives, they are expected to remain until 8:00 pm.
• Accessible areas include the main floor cafeteria, gymnasium, and main floor washrooms only. Lockers and other areas are not available.

Respect for Our School and Community
We have recently noticed an increase in littering on school property and in the surrounding community. We ask families to please speak with their children about taking pride in their school, respecting shared spaces, and properly disposing of garbage.

Homework Hub Mathematics Tutoring
The Homework Hub is open for mathematics tutoring.
Grades 4 to 6
Monday to Wednesday, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Grades 7 to 12
Sunday to Thursday, 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Royal City Soccer Club Summer Day Camps
Royal City Soccer Club is preparing for summer day camps for children ages 5 to 13 at nearby locations throughout the summer. Programs focus on skill development, teamwork, confidence building, and fun in a supportive environment.
