Grade 7 Immunization Clinic

The Grade 7 Immunization Clinic will take place at Leslie Thomas Junior High on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Public Health will be at the school to provide the next round of routine vaccines as part of the School Immunization Program.

No consent forms are required at this time, as they were already collected earlier this school year.

To help your child have a smooth experience, please make sure they:

  • Eat breakfast
  • Wear a short sleeved shirt
  • Bring a water bottle

If your child is absent on clinic day, a catch up clinic is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026.

If you have any questions about vaccines or your child’s immunization record, please contact Public Health at 902-481-4956 or 1-877-334-3032.

Drinks at School

This is a reminder that open drinks are not permitted in classrooms.

This includes open cans or cups such as pop, energy drinks, iced caps, and similar beverages. Students are encouraged to bring water in a spill proof water bottle.

Teachers will ask students to dispose of open cans, bottles, or cups before entering the classroom.

We would appreciate it if families could speak with their child about this expectation. Announcements will also be shared at school as a reminder.

Thank you for your support.

Vaping Information for Families

Families are encouraged to visit the Nova Scotia Government Department of Health website for important information about vaping.

The page includes a helpful section called “Talking With Your Teen.” Education about the dangers of vaping is happening at school, and we ask that these conversations continue at home as well.
