We are hoping for all families / students will take advantage of the advance purchase option and limit the ‘pay at the door’ option. SchoolCash Online. https://hrce.schoolcashonline.com/

Dance expectations:

  • This is a school function, and all school rules will be followed.
  • Students must be in attendance the day of the dance to attend the dance
  • A canteen with snacks and drinks will be open for cash purchases. All food and drink will be consumed in the cafeteria.
  • All outerwear, backpacks, and cell phones will be checked at the beginning of the dance and will be kept in a secure location.
  • Once a student has arrived for the dance, they are expected to remain until 8pm.
  • Accessible areas will be the main floor cafeteria, gymnasium, and main floor washrooms. All other areas and lockers will not be available.

The cost is $8.

Public Transit

If your student is taking the metro transit bus after school, please have a conversation around lining up on the gravel shoulder and not waiting on the paved street.  It is very busy on Metropolitan after school and students should try their best to safely wait for the bus.

Homework Hub
Homework Hub continues to be available to all Nova Scotian students from grades 4-12. The Homework Hub provides electronic textbooks, instructional videos, vocabulary review, practice questions, and live tutoring.

Tutors at The Homework Hub are all Nova Scotia teachers. Please reassure students that while they interact with the tutor, it is through typing and/ or speaking depending on their comfort level (this is not a video chat).

Students can find the link on their GNSPES launch page.

The hours of operation for online tutoring via Homework Hub can be found below. We invite teachers to take a few moments to show students where to find it and share its benefits.
