June 2024 End of Year Newsletter

I find myself reflecting on the past four years—my first Principalship. This journey has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I arrived at LT in August of 2020 during the midst of COVID. The LT staff and community came together and allowed everyone to navigate that challenging time with tremendous success. I am deeply thankful to have been a part of the LT community. As I move on to new opportunities, I take with me the lessons I've learned and the memories we've made together over the past four years. LT has been a significant chapter in my life, and I am proud of all that we've accomplished. I will always be a LT Lion.

Grade 8 End of Year Celebration:

On June 21st, the LT staff will be celebrated with our Grade 8s as they prepare for their next step in their educational journey. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our grade 8s as they made this a very successful and enjoyable year. We all wish them the best moving forward.

LTJH End of Year Awards Ceremony

The end of year awards ceremony was another success. Watching you tackle challenges, celebrate successes, and grow into the incredible young people you are has been a highlight of my time here. On Tuesday, we recognized and celebrated your growth and achievements. Congratulations to all of you who have earned awards and recognition during our ceremony. To all of our students, your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you should be very proud of yourselves. Keep pushing yourselves, keep asking questions, and never stop learning. You have amazing futures ahead of you.

On Friday, we will be recognizing the Students of the Month for May and June and distributing the honour roll certificates for our Grade 7 and 8 students in the homerooms. We know some of you may not be here on Friday. For those returning next year, we will hold onto your certificates and give them to you in September. For our Grade 8 students, we will arrange for the Sackville High to distribute your certificates next year.

Locker Clean Out, Library Books and Chromebook Returns
Lockers have been cleaned out and emptied. Please contact the school if you need to pick up your items. Any unclaimed items will be donated on Friday.

Last Day of School – Report Cards

Report Cards will be sent home electronically the morning of June 28th. Students will be dismissed at 11:10.
