• Pride Week: Next week is PRIDE WEEK at Leslie Thomas! On Monday, please wear rainbow colours or choose the colours of your favourite pride flag. And do you like cupcakes? If so, be sure to bring some money to support the GSA Bake sale happening on Monday at lunch!

• LT Citizenship Award
Grade 8 Students who are interested in applying for the LT Citizenship award are reminded to pass in their application to Mme MacIlreith or Mr MacIlreith by Monday.

• Bathroom Renovations-
Can any students involved in the bathroom project meet in room 105 today at the very start of lunch.  Bring your lunch and plan to eat there.

• Black Excellence Day: For the first time ever, Nova Scotia’s public schools will be celebrating Black Excellence Day on June 17, 2022.
Students and staff in Nova Scotia’s public schools as well as supporters are invited to wear black T-Shirts to celebrate and stand in unity in support of the success of Black students. Black Excellence Day celebrates Black Achievements, Black stories, Black Art, Black innovations, and Black people and their communities.
As such, we welcome school community support in celebrating Black Excellence Day in meaningful ways that resonate with individuals. Black Excellence is a day for every student to both acknowledge and celebrate Black Excellence!

• Upcoming Grade 9 students: Are you interested in being in a musical next year? Halifax Regional Arts is producing Disney's High School Musical in the Fall of 2022.  We are looking for interested musicians, performers and technical crew grades 9-12 across the HRCE! The show dates are November 24th-26th and rehearsals and performances will be at Prince Andrew High School.  Please see the poster in the main office for more information.
